CHALLENGES
Conveying calm and relaxation in the midst of chaos presented the biggest challenge. We wanted clients to feel immersed in an oasis where the Plaza de España’s large gardens are echoed in our hidden courtyard. In this case, it was imperative to make a strong statement without losing the essence of serenity, particular to gardens and natural spaces.
CHALLENGES
Conveying calm and relaxation in the midst of chaos presented the biggest challenge. We wanted clients to feel immersed in an oasis where the Plaza de España’s large gardens are echoed in our hidden courtyard. In this case, it was imperative to make a strong statement without losing the essence of serenity, particular to gardens and natural spaces.
INSPIRATION
The space’s interior distribution follows somatic principles that emerge in a nature-based palette of earth and ochre colours and flow through the different textures in an interplay of shadow and light. The flooring merges interior and exterior and natural fibres and materials create bespoke thresholds and an abundance of environments.
OUTCOME
The environment transports our guests to the forest, where colour and light diffuse into texture. The assorted levels and variety of plant life and organic forms allow guests to experience each area, producing feelings of comfort, tranquility and intimacy. Overall, the project was a success: we created a warm and welcoming environment where guests can lose themselves in a little piece of paradise.
